How to Use the Bulletin Board

This Bulletin Board can be read by anyone.
To post a message on this board, you must log in. To do so, you need an account. If you don't have one, please email me at [my first name]@[my surname].com (without the square brackets) to request one.
Your username will be [your firstname][your surname] (e.g. johnsmith). Your password is private to you
To embed a picture in a post, click the [img] button. This puts a 'place holder' in your message. Then use the Browse button (the upper one, on the same line as 'Select Image file to attach'), to browse to the picture on your hard disk. When the filename has appeared in the window to the left of the 'Browse' button, and you have finished the text of your message, click the 'Submit' button. Your picture will be uploaded - this will take a short while. Then it should appear as part of your post.
Very large pictures will cause problems, but a few hundred K is ok.
Please
- sign your posts with your full name - then we know which ones to take seriously!
- use a subject line that indicates what your post is about, rather than leaving it blank or very uninformative (e.g. 'question').
- Ads belong in the Buy and Sell - this applies to all goods and services, as well as items for sale, rent or auction, courses, etc.
- Discussions about Meets belong in the Meets section.
